Grieving storm

A personal original character illustration based on World of Warcraft: Warbringers animated short about Sylvanas Windrunner. As my character Nilviri Surana finds the patch of withered tulips and the pool of blood of the general she's given her heart to, she breaks down in despair and anguish, her magic exploding from her in arcs of arcane lightning as she weeps. This was a personal challenge to paint a piece with a background and play around with colours, light and magic effects. I still have lots to learn, but I am happy with this for now.
